TryScience workshop "Laser - the tool of the future"

On 11 November 2022, starting at 3 p.m., the IFSW will offer a TryScience workshop on the topic of lasers. With TryScience, high school students can learn about different STEM study programs. They will meet scientists who will be happy to answer all their questions about science and technology.

Students in grades 10 to 13 of a high school or other school leading to a university entrance qualification are cordially invited to get to know the future tool laser in detail. No other tool can be used in as many ways as the laser. From marking and labeling to welding and cutting material, it's all possible with the laser. Of course, conducting experiments under supervision are not to be missed.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Graf, director of the IFSW, is looking forward to a lively participation on the TryScience workshop. He is convinced that the laser is already an outstanding, universal tool but that we are still far from exploiting its full potential. The realization of a universal laser machine is therefore a declared goal of the ongoing research.
