Award: Optics Continuum Best Paper Prize

The publication “Thin-disk multipass amplifier delivering sub-400 fs pulses with excellent beam quality at an average power of 1 kW” by members of the IFSW was selected as the first paper to receive the new Optics Continuum Best Paper Prize in the year 2022. 

This prize is awarded each year to one outstanding paper published in Optics Continuum. The winner is selected by a committee of editors of this journal. Criteria for the prize include both technical and scientific accuracy as well as quality of presentation.

The awarded paper is mainly about a thin-disk multipass amplifier for ultrashort laser pulses developed at the IFSW including the discussion of its key components and performances.
