In its 23rd public session the senate of the University of Stuttgart has elected the director of the Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge (IFSW), Prof. Thomas Graf, new vice rector for knowledge and technology transfer.
The rector, Prof. Wolfram Ressel, stated: „I am pleased about the broad agreement in the panel to strategically develop the competitiveness of the university with structural changes and personnel decisions. With Prof. Thomas Graf we have appointed a new vice rector for knowledge and technology transfer who will set new impulses based on his long international experience at the interface between science and economy.“ Prof. Thomas Graf emphasized the aim to pursue a new qualitative dimension of research partnerships in Stuttgart: „We will exploit the particular constellation of university, research institutions, industry, and community to further sharpen the unique profile of our university.“
