USTUTT achieve 600 W, sub-400fs from the thin-disk multipass amplifier

July 13, 2017 /

The University of Stuttgart are pleased to announce that they have achieved a 600W, sub-400fs pulses at a repetition rate of 1.25 MHz from an Yb:YAG thin-disk multipass amplifier. The Satsuma laser developed by partner Amplitude Systems and delivering 50W was used as seed laser. This is a key achievement within the project as the Consortium aims to demonstrate more than 1kW at a later stage.
